As the holiday season starts to come to a close the expectation of a prosperous new year typically appear in our minds. This particular New Year seems to hold exceptional high thoughts of change and prosperity. Although I’m not going to dwell on the bad and negative circumstances surrounding our country and the world-at-large I am going to acknowledge that “change is good” and it’s sorely needed right now. However, the prospects of change for the better this New Year won’t come easy and it doesn't rest upon the shoulders of one particular individual or entity…it lies within all our own efforts.
Now as the thoughts of change swirl around us we come to a time where we ideally start to plan out our new year’s strategy with our beloved…New Years Resolutions. As grand as resolutions may seem when we first start to think of them they’re often fleeting from us as quickly as they came into our minds.
Have you ever noticed as we contemplate our well intentioned resolutions for some strange reason within days or weeks later they just…vanish into mindless past? Like so many other well meaning plans and ideas they just seem to end up on the “junk heap” pile of forgotten dreams. If we could look into our minds and past good intentions we’d see a scrap yard filled with the relics of these thoughts.
Why is it that we lose sight of our good intentions? Why do so many good New Years resolutions never seem to pan out? There are answers, but there are no easy solutions. In order to make your New Years goals manifest into reality there are a host of ingredients that we need to add to the mix. Unfortunately in our everyday lives of work, family, and an ever increasing range of commitments we fail to act and lose sight. Lost sight of what we really want!
So my first and most important question for you this New Year is; What Do You REALLY Want? I mean what do your really want with all your heart and all your mind? What do you crave in the bottom pit of your gut so bad it screams “Please…Let me out!” What makes your creative juices soar like the proud eagle that soars effortlessly over the western mountain skies? Don’t be shy here this is your time, your life, your Year!
Consider that you’ll only get one shot at this…and this is it! Now with that thought in mind write your heart felt dream down. Write it down again…And, again until you can focus on what you really want. Do it now!
If you’re like me and your heart’s desire lies within the topics of this blog then Copywriting and/or being an Entrepreneur is the “pile driving” goal that has been beckoning you to come here. This desire may have been tugging at you for a while now or maybe it just materialized it’s self in thought recently. What ever the case may be…it’s here, it’s now, it’s time! Now is the time to run with your goal in hand and make it a reality.
So now you ask me; where do we start…or how? My answer is, focus! That’s right we’re going to focus. Focus on our goal to becoming a great Copywriter or Internet Entrepreneur. And, were going to do it right here! In my next blog post I’m going to talk about the process of focusing and tell you about a great software program I’ve used that help’s me stay focused on all my projects.
Until then focus on this…
